Educational Technology and Copyright Law

This article is everything you need to know about a "copyright". Everything is copyrighted right away. Regardless if it is a picture, story, or a scribble on a notepad. You don't have to fill any paperwork, your work is copyrighted immediately. Once you create that one thing, you now have four exclusive rights:

Reproduce the copyrighted work;
Display the copyrighted work publicly;
Prepare derivative works based on the copyrighted work; and
Distribute copies of the copyrighted work to the public by sale, rental or lending, and/or to display the image.
